Moulin Rouge! is a musical with a book by John Logan. The musical is based on the 2001 film of the same name, by Baz Luhrmann. It is expected to receive its world premiere at the Colonial Theatre in June 2018.
Plot
Moulin Rouge! is set in Montmartre Quarter of Paris, France, during the Belle Epoque at the turn of the 20th century. It is a fictional story about Christian, a young poet, who ends up falling in love with cabaret actress Satine, who is the star of the Moulin Rouge.
