Here We Are is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by David Ives. It is based on two films by Luis Buñuel: The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and The Exterminating Angel.
Here We Are premiered at The Shed's Griffin Theatre in previews on September 28, 2023 and officially opened on October 22, 2023 running until January 21, 2024. The production, directed by Joe Mantello, featured a cast including Francois Battiste, Tracie Bennett, Bobby Cannavale, Micaela Diamond, Amber Gray, Jin Ha, Rachel Bay Jones, Denis O'Hare, Steven Pasquale, David Hyde Pierce, and Jeremy Shamos.
